Do you have content that needs to be copyedited, proofread, or rewritten? I would be happy to help you!
About Me
Experienced, disciplined, versatile, and dependable, I am a top-notch copy editor and proofreader with a strong work ethic. I have extensive experience copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking financial services and marketing collateral, including white papers (with tables and displays), hedge fund quarterly reports, fact cards, commentaries, e-mail and print invitations, letters, blogs, website copy, bios, ads, brochures, flyers, PowerPoint presentations, press releases, and sophisticated research books on tax management and retirement planning. In addition, I have copyedited and proofread articles for various financial journals, including The Journal of Wealth Management, The Journal of Investing, and The Journal of Financial Data Science; articles for medical journals; résumés, personal essays, theses, and dissertations; historical romance novels; articles, recipes, crossword puzzles, and stories for a women’s magazine; math and language arts testing products for K–12 assessments; business articles; and direct-mail coupons and menus. I consistently ensure error-free copy, applicable and flawless graphics, and accurate contact information.
Furthermore, I am an effective and versatile writer. I am the author of the coming-of-age novel The Grill on Murray Avenue and the fanciful book A Shade of Color: A Tribute to Color in Its Many Forms; I was a contributing writer to the third edition of Watch It Made in the U.S.A.: A Visitor’s Guide to the Companies That Make Your Favorite Products; I was responsible for compiling and writing firm-wide bios for an asset management firm; I wrote daily stock market updates on industries such as health care, biotechnology, energy, industrials, telecommunications, and staples for a financial services firm; and I spend much of my free time writing short stories, vignettes, and character sketches.
I am also an accomplished dancer in various styles, including jazz, ballroom, Latin, and Afro-Cuban. I use my understanding of artistry and rhythm to enhance the written word. Moreover, the discipline I have gained from years of intense dance training informs my editing and writing endeavors.
Most of all, I greatly enjoy working with words, refining and improving text, and doing my utmost to create a flawless and captivating product.
